Our mission

Crann Taic gives small and medium-sized non-profits the expert, subsidised accounting and digital support they need to stay robust and resilient - so more of every pound raised goes to the cause.

01

Charitable purpose

The advancement of citizenship or community development by way of the promotion of the effectiveness or efficiency of bodies in the charity, voluntary and third sectors.

02

Grant-giving focus

Operating as a grant-giving charity with a particular focus on supporting health charities.

How we deliver it

Through three programmes: subsidised finance and accounting; managed IT and cyber security; and digital capability support including websites, Google Ad Grants management and AI automation. Services are provided at subsidised rates to charities and community organisations across Inverclyde and Glasgow.

Governance

Crann Taic SCIO is a Scottish registered charity (SC055182), registered 17 April 2026. All income and property is applied solely towards our charitable purposes. We are governed by trustees and regulated by OSCR under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.

One trusted partner. Everything your charity needs.

Take any service on its own, or bring them together as your complete back-office and digital team.

Finance & Accounting

The finance function your charity cannot afford to hire.

Our finance team works in Xero on your behalf, month in month out. Typical work for a partner charity includes:

  • Weekly bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and supplier payments
  • Monthly management accounts and restricted fund tracking for funders
  • Payroll runs, pension submissions and HMRC filings
  • Year-end accounts prepared to the Charities SORP for OSCR
  • Plain-English finance sessions for trustees and new treasurers

Digital & Technology

An IT department shared across the third sector.

One team looking after the technology your staff and volunteers rely on every day:

  • Helpdesk support for staff, volunteers and home workers
  • Microsoft 365 accounts, mailboxes, file sharing and leavers/joiners
  • Cyber security, backup and Cyber Essentials readiness
  • Websites, CRM setup and open-source alternatives to costly licences
  • Google Ad Grant applications and ongoing management
